World Music Festival Chicago
October 1–4, 2026 | Citywide, including Chicago Cultural Center
Experience music from around the world at the World Music Festival Chicago. This citywide festival started at the end of September and continues through early October as a musical celebration. The festival features artists and ensembles representing musical traditions from India, Cabo Verde, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Moldova, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Mali, Japan, West Africa, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand, and more.
All performances are free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some venues have limited capacity, so early arrival is encouraged.
Apple Fest
October 2–4, 2026 | Lincoln Square, Ravenswood
Celebrate the arrival of fall at the 39th Annual Apple Fest, a three-day neighborhood tradition filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of autumn. Stroll along Lincoln Avenue to shop fresh-picked apples, cider, and seasonal favorites from Midwest farms, sample apple-inspired dishes and festival eats, and browse more than 100 vendors featuring local artists, makers, and businesses. Live music, DJs, family activities, and hands-on entertainment round out the weekend.
Sumo + Sushi Chicago
October 2–4, 2026 | The Fields Studios
Experience an evening of sumo, sushi, and cultural storytelling hosted by legendary sumo wrestler Konishiki. Learn about the history and traditions of sumo, enjoy a curated sushi experience with select tickets, and watch exhibition matches featuring elite wrestlers. Friday and Saturday shows are 21+, while Sunday shows are all ages.
Chicago Art Fair

There is a new art exhibition in town and it is taking over The Mart this month in Chicago. Chicago Art Fair is bringing a curated roster of international, national and regional galleries. What: Millennial party-goers, this one is for you!
