June in Chicago feels like the official start of summer, finally hitting its stride. Temperatures usually land between the low 70s and mid-80s°F (21–29°C), with stretches of sunshine that pull everyone toward patios, lakefront paths, and outdoor festivals.

That said, the weather can still shift. Occasional rain showers can roll through, and evenings near the lake tend to cool down quickly. For that reason, light layers tend to work best, especially if your day starts in the sun and ends somewhere outdoors.
