The Hort Couture charity event and fashion show set the tone for the Midwest’s iconic Chicago Flower & Garden Show in all its grandeur the evening before it opens to the public. The award-winning and icon fashion designer makes his way to the windy city this month. Issac Mizrahi’s “I & Me” is a collage of Issac’s may creative talents — stories, songs, and even a regift segment. This is Mizrahi’s next chapter in his recent life as an entertainer for which the New York Times called him a “founding father of Alt Cabaret.” I&Me is a fun, casual look at life through his eyes, from growing up gay in a small Jewish community in Brooklyn to scaling the heights of the fashion world. 2019 Chicago Beer Fest

The Chicago Beer Festival will take place at the Field Museum for a one of a kind experience night at museum experience. The event will feature dozens of local and domestic breweries, sampling their spring seasonal beers alongside natural and historical wonders. 19th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge

Whether you go knee high, waist high or take the full plunge, all are welcome to attend! The 19th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge is an annual tradition that supports the Special Olympics Chicago and over 7,500 athletes. There is no registration fee and all fundraisers receive a souvenir long-sleeved t-shirt, warm towel when exiting the water, free photo downloads, and post-event food. 2019 One Inspired Evening

One Inspired Evening is an annual fundraising gala supporting Inspiration Corporation, an organization that helps the homeless with programs that enable them to reach their fullest potential for self-sufficiency. The event includes an art auction, silent auction, raffle, and live music. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting Inspiration Corporation’s mission of helping people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency. 12th Annual Empty Bowls Benefit

Not Just Another Pretty Face is a collaborative commissioning project created by Hyde Park Art Center to arrange commissions between patrons and artists who create engaging and personalized art, ranging from traditional to very untraditional. The salon will feature food, drinks, mingling and a tour through a selection of talented artists and what they’re currently working on. Global Connections: Holi

Visit Navy Pier this March for Holi, a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India and Nepal, also known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love.” Participate in the colorful Holi tradition. Arts in the Dark Lantern Procession in Millennium Park

Celebrate the first day of spring in Millennium Park with the Arts in the Dark Lantern Procession, featuring floral creations by the After School Matters 3D Sculpture Program and local artists. This magical procession will start at Cloud Gate (the “Bean”) and will travel south through the Promenade, on to Michigan Avenue and back up to Cloud Gate three times.
