The Charming Way to Wear a Wrap Blouse

Finally, an ensemble without a coat! This look takes an aristocratic approach to casual spring style by combing a stylish wrap blouse with fun spring trends.

For this How to Wear It Wednesday,  I went on location to a charming boathouse located in Bridgeport. The random piece of modern architecture, dramatically set apart from other sites in this South Side neighborhood, makes a perfect location for an uninterrupted and very unexpected backdrop for a photoshoot.

This season, a major spring trend is a charming wrap blouse. Designers have revised the closet staple by adding silhouette changing elements. As seen on me, the light blue pinstripe poplin by Chelsea 28 features ruffled sleeves and a wrapping element, creating flattering curve details at my waist and chest. I decided to pair the top with some ever-handy khaki pants from Zara and nude-colored slingbacks from Coach.  No bourgeois boat look is complete without pearls, so I added a unique three string necklace that I found at Off Saks and orange earrings to match.

You can wear this wrap blouse by easily pairing this look with some wide leg dark denim pants, and silhouettes for easy wear to a work outfit. You can also swap the denim for a white pant for high-heeled sandals for a weekend daytime look. This outfit, especially the top is excellent from brunch to the boardroom.

Share with me in the comments below how you would wear the Royal Regatta look.
