The weather is finally steady, the lakefront is alive with energy, and some of my favorite summer events and festivals take place this month.

Whether it’s grabbing a spot for the fireworks on the 4th of July, dancing at a free neighborhood block party, or catching a headliner at Lollapalooza, Chicago’s July events are what make this time of year so iconic.
