Simply Spring Musings

By now, I was hoping that most of my How to Wear It Wednesday posts would be full of bright, colorful, frilly, lacy, springy-thingy. Not yet for this. During this photo shoot, we were still in a little bit of spring cold spell. Despite the temperatures, the look( minus the leather jacket) is perfect for a spring look.

This was also my last shoot with the duo of Deiscribe. It was bitter( because they were leaving and the weather was cold) and sweet at the same time. Shooting with this remarkable couple has been an empowering opportunity for my brand and has really helped and elevating my personal style shoots to the next level. We did some great work together.

For our final shoot, we headed over this awesome hidden gem within Jackson Park. During my residency in the South Shore neighborhood, I discovered the Garden of Phonix( formerly the Osaka Garden) that along with the Museum of Science and Industry, is the only remaining building from the World Columbia Exposition of 1893. This Japanese strolling garden is truly one of my favorite historical places on the South Side. The area is currently in reconstruction, which can be a good or bad thing. I am just glad I was able to embrace the space once again before this change happens.

For this HTWITW look, I was a conservative fashion meets in vogue. I rocked a one-shoulder blouse with my favorite voluminous black skirt. The key piece for this look is the blouse. It is the perfect top to wear all season long. Perfect for a fun rooftop party or late night summer date. How do you wear this look again, accessories are the key. Switch out the wedged heels for some red shoes, flats or heels, add a belt and a bright head-wrap.  Either way, this was a simple look that is pretty versatile.

The only question remains, how would you wear simply spring musings?
