3rd Annual Taste of Uptown

The 3rd Annual Taste of Uptown is an event that celebrates Uptown’s incredible cultural and culinary diversity. This restaurant crawl will feature small bites and samplings from Uptown eateries. Participants will receive a passport at check-in at the Chicago Market, located in the historical and recently renovated Gerber Building (4620 N. Broadway), and stroll from restaurant to restaurant along the Broadway, Wilson, and Lawrence corridors enjoying samples at various locations. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Inspiration Corporation, home to Inspiration Kitchens, an Uptown organization helping those who are homeless increase their self-sufficiency. The Annual – Open House and Opening Reception

Chicago Artist Coalition (CAC) invites the public to an Open House in celebration of its move to a new location. Chicago artists, interactive activities, and affordable art will converge at CAC’s new home with the opening reception of The ANNUAL: Mixtapes for the Next Millennium, curated by Jordan Martins. Guests at the event can meet the Chicago artists featured in the exhibition, whose work will be available for purchase, and receive a behind-the-scenes look at CAC’s artist studios.
