Participating businesses spanning from 4800 to 5800 N. Clark Street and the adjacent side streets will expand their storefronts to line the sidewalks with summer sales, bargain antiques, one-of-a-kind merchandise, fashion apparel, and local treasures. Shoppers, who spend $30 or more during the event will get a free drink ticket for use at various restaurants in Andersonville. Plant Chicagoʼs Closed Loop Forum & Fest 2018 is back for its annual summer celebration of delicious food, excellent music, and (of course) closing waste loops! This year’s Closed Loop Fest will feature presentations from community leaders such as Jahmal Cole, Jose Oliva,Ratih Sutrisano. Followed by DIY workshops, Plant Chicago’s Farmers Market, plus health conscious and sustainable food and beverage vendors. Fiesta del Sol is an annual fundraising event organized by Pilsen Neighbors Community Council, a non-profit organization located in the heart of Pilsen in Chicago, IL. One of my favorite food and cultural festivals of in Chicago, the family-friendly festival draws over 1 million visitors during the four-day event, every year bringing live entertainment, local art, a variety of food, carnival rides, a children’s area, educational resources and much more. Guns Down, Gloves Up is a celebrity panel hosted by Floyd Mayweather and moderated by Celebrity Media Strategist, Karen Civil. The event aims to create a discussion about sustainable solutions preventing violence. By exposing the affected demographic to non-traditional careers such as those of our panelists including celebrities, influencers, and activists, we hope to bring hyperlocal solutions to national awareness. Mayweather and Civil will also be joined by J Prince, and local celebrities such as musician Bump J, activist Demetrius Nash, serial entrepreneur Corey Gilkey, and global tattoo artists Ryan Henry.
