Robin Richman and the Fashion Resource Center invite you to celebrate the FRC’s 30th year as a research and meeting space for the SAIC and Chicago Fashion Communities. Robin Richman, a SAIC Alum who opened her Bucktown boutique over twenty years ago has since become an incubator for avant-garde designers. While the FRC has served to maintain a unique hands-on collection of late 20th- and 21st-century designer garments and accessories representing extreme innovation. The 1-Day Sale and Silent Auction will feature vintage designer clothes and accessories from Dolce&Gabanna and ISSEY MIYAKE USA to Gucci and Sonia Rykiel, with all proceeds supporting the FRC’s continued growth into a state of the art research facility. Celebrate fashion and philanthropy at the Fashion Challenge X by RefuShe. RefuSHE identifies and protects unaccompanied and separated refugee children, youth, especially young women living in Kenya. Nine Chicago designers will debut original runway looks highlighting the RefuSHE’s artisan-made fabric.
