Taste of Ravenswood, Alternatives to Calling the Police and More Things to Do This Weekend: November 8th -11th

This weekend, shop designer vintage goods at Department of Curiosities in Logan Square. Sample and sip some of Ravenswood’s best breweries, restaurants, and spirit makers at the annual Taste of Ravenswood. Engage in conversation about mental health with the Alternatives to Calling The Police(ACP) community. Celebrate the continuous rise of arts and culture on the city’s South Side with the grand opening of The Woodlawn in Avalon Park. These events plus many more things to do in Chicago this weekend.


Vintage Shopping and Cocktails at Department of Curiosities

UIC Alternatives to Calling Police During Mental Health Crises

The Alternatives to Calling The Police(ACP) During Mental Health Crisis community organization will be partnering with the Mental Health and Disability Alliance at UIC to host a three-hour long free workshop. During this training, participants will learn reflective listening and de-escalation techniques, engage in conversation about what happens when the police get involved in mental health crises and practice brainstorming during these events. Green Line Performing Arts Center Grand Opening

A Pop Up Experience

What I’m Seeking:

Last weekend, I was doing the most so this weekend I will be working towards doing the least! Thursday, I will be kicking off my weekend with happy hour drinks at a hidden gem of a location.
