Yo-Yo Ma hits the streets of Chicago with a series of community-focused events across various communities this Friday. The highly acclaimed cellist kicks off a day of giving with the North Lawndale neighborhood through a beautification project. He will then make his way to Pilsen for a conversation on better and stronger communities at the National Museum of Mexican Art with Mayor Lori Lightfoot, author and activist Jahmal Cole, and artist Hailey Love. Finally, the artist will conclude his day at the Chicago Riverwalk as he joins members of theCivic Orchestra of Chicago for a performance of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4.
