Inspire Change Advocates Perform the NFL Kickoff Experience in Grant Park

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the NFL with a free concert and NFL Experience in Grant Park. Recording artists Meek Mill, Rapsody, Meghan Trainor, and my favorite personal favorite, Chicago DJ Pharris, will perform a free concert this Thursday in Grant Park as apart of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and NFL partnership. The partnership known as the Inspire Change Initiative focuses on education and economic advancement, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.  The concert will host two Chicago-based community organizations. Post-performance, stick around for a live broadcast of the season opener of the Chicago Bears against the Green Bay Packers. A Celebration of Black Composers & Dance

Annual 79th Street Renaissance Fair

Make your way to the South Side for one of the longest-running neighborhood block parties in Chicago. The 79th street Renaissance Fair in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood offers attendees the opportunity to support their local businesses through food, games, entertainment, and more. What I’m Seeking:

This weekend, I will kick off my weekend by attending the Green Tie Ball in the West Loop. Saturday, I am kicking it with the Hampton vs. Howard crowd at the Chicago Classic, followed by a chill night with a few friends on the North Side. Sunday, I might just seek the city a little bit.
