Haute Happy Hour: Chicago Food and Drink Specials September 2019

Fall into the new season with the Haute Happy Hour roundup for September. This month’s list of Chicago happy hour food and drink specials include award-winning South Side restaurants and downtown ‘haute’ spots.

The key phrase in happy hour is ‘happy.’ So, keep in mind that menus are subject to change, as many menus often do because of seasonality and availability. Be sure to contact the restaurant or visit their website for additional details before heading out to the happy hour of your choosing.


Mondays

Hyde Park – Virtue Restaurant, 1462 E 53rd St. 

Happy Hour just got a bit more virtuous. Virtue Restaurant and Bar in Hyde Park is rationing up Southern American bits and select wines seven days a week. Enjoy rotating bites such as Pork Cracklin and Catfish Sliders($4), Chicken Fried Cauliflower and Biscuits($5), $5 glasses of wine, and $8 speciality cocktails.

Food and drink specials available Wednesday – Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

West Town – Pub Royale, 2049 W Division St.

The eclectic West Town restaurant, known for infusing Indian flavors and flair into its dishes offers a Monday happy hour special that is sure to start your week off right. Every Monday, get your choice of the Royale burger with cheese or the Chicken Tikka on a Kati Roll. Each dish comes with a can of Hamm’s and a shot of Bourbon.

Happy Hour specials are available Monday through Thursday starting at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesdays

River North – Bar Ramone, 441 N Clark St.

Enjoy Happy Hour each and everyday at Bar Ramone. The stylish wine bar in River North offers up $7 select wine pours and unlimited visits to the traditional spanish tapas bar. Fill your plate with traditional eats such a Iberico Chips, Shishito Peppers, local Focaccia with Garlic Aioli and other seasonal selections.

Happy Hour specials are available Monday – Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

River North – Moxy Chicago, 530 N LaSalle Dr.

Moxy Chicago located in River North understands that being an adult is hard. The hotel, located near Merchandise Mart, offers food and drink special deals available every day to make things just a little easier. Enjoy daily happy hour specials such as $5 Draft Beers & Wine, $7 Select Spirits, and a Taco + Beer/Wine pairings for $8 – Choice of Grilled Adobo BBQ Chicken or Pork Carnitas

Happy Hour specials are available Monday through Friday, starting at 3:00 p.m.

Wednesdays

Ukrainian Village – The Fifty/50 Bar, 2047 W Division St. 

Every Wednesday, enjoy the some of the best wings in town along with drinks at Fifty/50. The popular sports bar offers 2 Domestic beers, 2 Well shots, and an order of 6 wings for only $20.

Food and Drinks specials are available Monday through Friday starting at 4:00 p.m.

Gold Coast – Margeaux Brasserie, 11 E Walton St. 

Experience traditional fine French dining for happy hour this month in Chicago. Margeaux Brasserie, the Gold Coast restaurant offers French delicacies such as $15 Margeaux Escargot and $10 Au Poivre Poutine. Drink specials include $4 beers, $7 cocktails, and $8 wines.

Happy Hour Specials are available daily in the bar and lounge from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Thursdays

Bronzeville – Renaissance Bronzeville, 4641 S King Dr.

The annual Chicago Football Classic brings a special kind of happy hour to the city this September. Make your way to Bronzeville for an Historically Black College and University(HBCU) alumni happy hour. A portion of the proceeds to benefit the HBCU Alliance, the Howard University Alumni Association (Chicago), Hampton University Alumni Association (Chicago), and the Chicago Classic Scholars Foundation. The Chicago Classic Black Alumni Welcome Happy Hour presented by Jim Beam takes place September 12th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Little Italy – The bar 10 DOORS, 1251 W Taylor St. 

Every Thursday in Chicago enjoy drink specials at The Bar 10 Door. The craft beer tavern offers $4 Bud light pitchers and $3 Punch Bombs. The West Side bar also offers $2 Red Dog, $3 PBR Tall Boys, and $4 Jameson Shots everyday.

Fridays

River North – Pops for Champagne, 601 N State St. 

Pop out to Pops for Champagne for Friday happy hour in Chicago. The River North champagne bar offers a wide selection of $10 – $12 libations as well as discounted light bites. End your work week with bubbles and more— because you deserve it.

Happy Hour specials are available Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

South Loop – The Scout Waterhouse, 1301 S Wabash Ave.

Want a sports bar near Soldiers Field? Check out The Scout Waterhouse. The South Loop bar offers drinks. Indulge in $6 Jack Daniels, $7 Lynchburg Lemonades, and $8 Gentleman Jack. The Scout offers game day specials.

Drink specials are available Monday – Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.Does not apply on game days or during Soldier Field events.
