This month’s Haute Happy Hour roundup is all about the midsummer vibes. The August list to Haute Happy Hour in Chicago consists of cool hangouts, classic bars, and of course, rooftop ‘haute’ spots.
The key phrase in happy hour is ‘happy.’ So, keep in mind that menus are subject to change, as many menus often do because of seasonality and availability. Be sure to contact the restaurant or visit their website for additional details before heading out to the happy hour of your choosing.
River North – River Roast, 315 N. LaSalle St.
Mondays are made for champagne and chicken. The new combo, now being offered at River Roast, is the perfect way to kick off the workweek. For $35 guests can enjoy a bottle house sparking, and seasoned fried chicken gobbets with honey. Happy Hour at River Roast also includes additional items such as Rose & Oysters combo for $35, Charcuterie plates, Farmers Market Crudite, Shrimp Ceviche, Burrata, Lobster Burger, and more. Drink deals include their Daily Punch ($7), Rotating Can ($5), and House Wine ($6/glass, $27/bottle).

River North – High Dive, 1938 West Chicago Ave.
Rack some games of pool over drink specials at High Dive Bar in West Town. The bar offers up half-priced drinks every Monday. “All beverages?” Yes. That’s right. All beverages.
Happy Hour specials are available from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
River North – Public House, 400 N State St.
Burger + a beer = the perfect Tuesday Happy Hour combination. Enjoy a burger and a beer every Tuesday for $10 at the Public House in River North. Other available food and drink specials, at this famous beer hall includes $5 Beers, $6 Sangria and Select Wines, $3 Al A Carte Tacos, and $11 Summer Flatbreads.

Gold Coast – Devereaux, 1118 N State St.
Rooftop happy hours continue throughout August. The Devereaux, located on the 18th floor of the Viceroy Hotel in the Gold Coast offers snacks, such as $5 Garlic Fries and Buffalo Cauliflower to $6 Beers and Wines, as well as $10 cocktails. Grab bites, drinks, and cocktails poolside at this happy hour spot in the Gold Coast with unobstructed views of Chicago’s picturesque skyline and Lake Michigan.
Happy Hour specials are available Monday through Friday, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
UIC – Bureau Bar, 724 W Maxwell St.
Wine down with drinks as you vibe out to live music by a local DJ, every Wednesday at The Bureau Bar near UIC. Drink specials include $7 martinis as well as a free appetizer with the purchase of two regular-priced cocktails (per person).
Happy Hour specials are available Wednesday through Friday, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
West Loop- Eden, 1748 W Lake St.
Find yourself at Chicago’s very own garden of Eden for happy hour in Chicago. The contemporary West Loop restaurant off food specials, like $16 Fried Chicken and $8 Beef Samosas. Drinks include specialty cocktails for $10 as well as champagne, wine, and rose by the glass.
