This May, check out a one-day exhibition of cutting-edge garments and fashion exhibition from students of the School of the Art Institute(SAIC). The exhibition will conclude with a ticketed fashion show featuring the collections of graduating seniors of the local institution. This event will hit capacity! Mole De Mayo

Mole de Mayo, one of the city’s most highly anticipated festivals of the season. Thousands of locals and visitors make their way to Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood for a mole showdown, determining whose version of the Mexican staple is the best in the city. The outdoor festival will also feature some food vendors, an open Mercado/Market, two stages of full of live music, plus lucha libre wrestling. This free event is organized and benefits the Eighteenth Street Development Corporation, an organization serving the Pilsen neighborhood for over three decades. Embarc celebrates its 8th year of Unbelievably Amazing & Terribly Entertaining Blow Out Variety Spectacular. The non-profit organization whose mission is to provide community-experience and experience-based learning opportunities to low-income high school students. The celebration will feature chef-driven cuisine, interactive experience, customer cocktails, hip-hop dancers, comedians, and more, for a self-proclaimed “anti-gala.” Tickets start at $100 where 100% of the proceeds will be used to support Embarc’s programming.
