The fundraising event supports the Traffick Free, a non-profit organization fighting human trafficking in Chicago. Committed: An Avant-Garde Wedding Event

Chicago Restaurant Week

Make plans to adjust your diet towards the end of the month; restaurant week is back again for its 11th year. The 14-day event features over 370 participating restaurants offering multi-course prix fixe menus starting at $22 for brunch or lunch, and $33 and/or $44 for dinner. Hyde Park Wine Society One Year Anniversary

Join the Hyde Park Wine Society for their one year anniversary at the Promontory, the South Side’s most notable restaurants, and venue space. The four-course dinner by Executive Chef Bernard Bennett will feature wine pairings by 57th Street Wines Sommelier Derrick Westbrook. Can’t make this event? No worries. The Hyde Park Wine Society meets every third Tuesday of each month to provide an interactive dining experience built around a monthly theme. Soup & Bread 2018

Soup and Bread will kick off its tenth year of community suppers in Chicago this month. The family-friendly community meal held on winter Wednesday features six or more soups from a range of local cooks, plus fresh bread donated by Publican Quality Bread. Donations raised from the grassroots meal project has given over $80,000 so far for various hunger-relief organizations across Chicago. Soup and Bread run every Wednesday until March. Chicago Winter Whiskey Festival

MLK Day 2018

Free Fitness Week

Most of us commit to two resolutions every year: spend less money and exercise more. Do both this month with the help of the Chicago Park District. The Chicago Park District is offering free admission to fitness centers, including fitness classes and lap swims for one whole week. Find your neighborhood fitness center and register early for the first-come, first serve fitness classes and other health initiatives to start off your new year.
