CEO and Creative Director of MODEL ATELIER and CONFIDENCE Apparel, Robin Harris is putting her stamp on the fashion world. A former fashion model represented by Ford Models, Robin has traveled the world donning luxury clothing that fit her tall frame on the runway, but as soon as she stepped off the runway the same fit and design she became accustomed to was not available in the department
stores. She realized that luxury brands didn’t produce apparel for the tall female consumer. With an MBA in International Business, Robin decided to create a business that filled the void, and MODEL ATELIER was born.
MODEL ATELIER is the first official fashion boutique of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky and is listed as a 2019 member of Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40.
Do you have any community organizations that you support?
A great non-profit I support is the Confidence Foundation, they provide programming in STEEM (science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, and math) as well as implement self-esteem empowerment to youth and young adults in Chicago!
Do you have any favorite Chicago artist?
My favorite artist is Hebru Brantley. He’s a staple here in Chicago.
What’s your favorite Chicago food?
My favorite Chicago food is Chicago deep-dish pizza at Lou Malnatis!
Where Are your favorite Neighborhood Shops?
My favorite neighborhood shop is The Guild in Lakeview! They always have the cutest fashion pieces, no matter the season.
What are your favorite things to do in Chicago?
My favorite thing to do in the city is explore our beaches and restaurants on the river. No matter the weather you can always enjoy the lake views and restaurants on the river.
