Make your way to Humboldt Park for an annual community festival and parade. Explore universally-known symbols and signifiers through various mediums of art in Goose Island. Join Dia de Los Reyes for the 25th Annual Three kings Winter Festival & Parade on Paseo Boricua. The event will begin at the Teresa Roldan Apartments on Paseo Boricua 2511 W Division Street (Campbell & Division). Those who arrive early will enjoy Treats and hot chocolate. The Parade will kick off from Campbell and Division. Families may board the trolleys, busses or walk along the parade route that will be lead by Three Kings on Horse & Carriage. Out of Context presents artists three arists exploration of the presence, absence, and fragmentation of universally-known symbols and signifiers through various mediums. Together, the artists in Out of Context stretch the limits of meaning to locate new symbolic possibilities. They reveal the destabilizing effects of the loss of symbols and context to interrogate how we, as viewers, making meaning out of art, objects, and the living.
