Hey Brown Girl: Sunday Social

Shop and brunch with purveyors of fashion and style at the Hey Brown Girl event this Sunday. The event will feature a selection of vendors and artisans alike selling everything from vintage clothing and apparel to handmade beauty and accessories.  Head over to the website for complimentary entry, and a sneak peek at the vendors showcasing their selection of goods.

 

Pop Up, Art Show and Sneaker Gallery

This month, taste one of Chicago’s favorite food groups during Chicago Pizza Party. The event will feature 20 of Chicago’s top pizza restaurants serving up slices of their best pies and competing for the title of “Best Pie in Chi.” Come hang out with me at the Pizza Party! Blanc at Blanc: A White Party for Awareness

Join AMFM and Paradigm Creatve Group at Blanc Gallery in Bronzeville for a white party for awareness in honor of National Black HIV/ AIDS Awareness Day.  The free event coincides with the nationally recognized day of educating and informing the Africa-American community about the basics of HIV and AIDS and why testing is vital for those who are sexually active.  The free event will bring awareness to the Chicago community through art and music. 9th Annual Winter Block Party: “Do The Winter Block Party Thing.”

The Winter Block Party is a daylong celebration of hip-hop arts and culture. This year’s theme “Do the Winter Block Party Thing,” is inspired by the iconic Spike Lee movie titled, “Do The Right Thing.” The showcase will feature artists, musicians, poets, producers, and dancers who “do right” by their communities in using the power of hip-hop to bring people together. The Prince Experience

This Saturday, celebrate his legacy in Chicago at Joe’s On Weed in Lincoln Park. This show brings to life the Purple Rain Era of Prince. Complete with costumes, props and a Morris Day. The Prince Experience transports you back in time and gets you ready to party likes it’s 1999 and purchase your tickets here.
