The Late Late Craft Show

This Friday, the Late Late Craft Show wants you to get a few more hours of sleep before you go shopping. The annual event features local artists, holiday music, and a full bar all taking place after 5 p.m. The first 50 shoppers to attend the event get a free bag of goodies. Celebrate Black entrepreneurship on the city’s Southwest Side for black Friday with #LetUsBreathe Collective. The market will feature over fifteen Black-owned businesses along with performances, and radical vibes. Shoppers can expect handmade jewelry, clothing, apothecary, art and more. Get a taste of Urban Tables Congolese and Soul Food cuisine this Saturday during their pop-event at Munno in the Rogers Park community. The all-day event will feature brunch, dinner, and live music. A great stop to make for food on the go to or from Small Business Saturday shopping in the Far North community of neighborhoods. Furious Spoon in Pilsen is giving warm meals to those in need this Thanksgiving. The ramen shop, who just recently opened a location in the neighborhood is offering a free ramen bowl to anyone who cannot afford a meal. Guests can choose between the namesake ramen, vegetable ramen or a rice bowl. Families in need are encouraged to take advantage. In addition to the free meals, the restaurant will be accepting donations to a local charity.

My first neighborhood in Chicago is in the midst of a renewal, and it could not come at a better time! The South Shore Chamber of Commerce along with the Alderman Leslie Hairston in partnership with Eric Williams, owner of the Silver Room in Hyde Park and Rob McKay of Connect Gallery have come together to feature local and national artists and makers during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The vision of the event is to simulate development opportunities in the South Shore community. The three-day event is open to the public and will feature vendor markets, pop-ups, and more along 71st street.
