When Pinks Parlay

Spring is not the season that is most associated with anything “Western” inspired, however, it seemed oh so appropriate to make it work for this look. I’ve gotten hooked on HBO’s Westworld, and somehow(even though I started the show after this particular shoot) managed to create a high-end, western-ish look.

For this How to Wear It Wednesday, Chris of Deiscribe and I headed over to Logan Square, an area that is full of open boulevards, commercial delights, and some kind of interesting history. I figured this was a good area to capture some charming atmosphere for this outfit.

For this look, I wanted to mix some vintage accessories with very simple everyday essentials. I paired a white button up, an essential in every woman’s closet with some ripped boyfriend style jeans. I am truly an accessories addict and showed this a little by adding layers of silver bracelets and rings to the look. Instead of a necklace, I opted for a silk scarf, very aristocratic in its design, that can easily be worn as a headpiece, neckpiece, bracelet or as handbag adornment. My pop’s of pink were all various shades. I paired my strawberry pink jacket from HM with my light pink velvet booties from Steve Madden, and my Vintage flower petal earrings from Luxury Garage Sale.

So, how do you wear this look again? The white t-shirt is perfect for all occasions. Wear it to a casual weeknight dinner with some skinny cut up jeans and sneakers. Wear the silk scarf as a hair accessory to embrace your inner 60’s fashion icon.

Share with me in the comments below how you would wear the When Pinks Parlay look.
